The SSI Wreck Diving specialty on the Perhentian Islands lets you explore one of South East Asia's most rewarding wreck clusters. Across local wrecks such as the 3,500-tonne Sugar Wreck and the shallower Police Wreck around 18 metres, you learn to survey, navigate and safely dive sunken vessels through SSI's digital training system.
SSI Wreck Diving is a recreational specialty delivered through SSI's digital platform and counts toward higher SSI recognition ratings. Penetration is limited and conducted with guidelines within recreational limits.
Perhentian's wrecks span from the large, shallow Sugar Wreck to the Police Wreck around 18 metres, usually dived in calm, warm water during the March-to-October season, with the deeper Secret Wreck near 38 metres reserved for advanced divers.
