What's Nitrox?
Air with extra oxygen (typically 32–36% vs 21% in regular air). The lower nitrogen percentage means less nitrogen absorption — you can stay at depth longer or surface with less residual nitrogen.
Will I dive deeper with Nitrox?
No — Nitrox actually has a SHALLOWER max depth than air for safety reasons (typically 33m for 32% mix). The benefit is longer bottom time, not greater depth.
Cost of Nitrox fills later?
Typically ₹400–600 extra per tank vs regular air. Worth it for any 3+ dive day.
Will my dive computer handle Nitrox?
Almost all modern dive computers do — most ship Nitrox-ready, you just punch in the O₂ percentage. We verify your computer settings during the course.
Do I need this for fun dives in Goa?
Not strictly — Goa dives are mostly under 18m, so air is fine. Nitrox shines for 3+ dives/day, Maldives liveaboards, deep specialty dives. Everyone planning future scuba travel should have it.
