Frequently asked questions
Prerequisite?
SSI Open Water Diver or equivalent. Age 10+.
How much air will I really save?
Most students go from 100 bar in 35 min to 100 bar in 50 min after this course. That's a 30–40% improvement — translates to longer dives or skipping a tank refill on liveaboards.
Why is this called the 'best second course'?
Because every future dive you ever do is better. Buoyancy is the one skill that compounds — wreck dives, photo dives, deep dives all depend on it.
What gear should I bring?
All scuba gear is included (BCD, regulator, mask, fins, weights, tank). Bring a swimsuit and a towel. Personal mask/snorkel/fins are recommended for hygiene if you have them.
Can I reschedule if conditions are bad?
Yes — Goa has a long calm-water season but if a dive day is called off for surf or visibility, your training reschedules at no charge. Skill assessments are pay-to-pass, not pay-to-date.
Do I need to be a strong swimmer?
No — basic comfort in water is enough. The whole course is about controlling buoyancy, not swimming endurance. If you finished Open Water, you're already qualified.
