No — React Right is open to anyone, diver or not. Many parents take it as a life skill alongside their child's Open Water course.
Why is this required for advanced diving certs?
SSI Diver Stress & Rescue, Divemaster, and Instructor all require current first-aid + CPR training. React Right fulfils that.
How long is the cert valid?
For life with SSI. We recommend a refresher every 24 months as best practice — skills like CPR fade with disuse.
