Course overview

Explore the Mediterranean's richest collection of shipwrecks with the SSI Wreck Diving specialty in Malta and Gozo. You develop survey, navigation and safe-approach skills on iconic purpose-sunk wrecks such as the Um El Faroud tanker, the Rozi tugboat and the Gozo passenger ferries, most resting upright in remarkably clear water. You earn the SSI Wreck Diving certification, ready to explore wrecks worldwide.

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 15
• SSI Advanced Adventurer / Open Water Diver with experience
• Comfortable buoyancy and navigation skills
• Medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Survey & approach

   Academics plus wreck-survey and reel dives on an accessible wreck such as the Rozi tugboat or a patrol boat.
2. Day2
   Larger wrecks

   Further dives on a major wreck like the Um El Faroud, refining navigation and limited-penetration technique, then certification.
