Course overview

The SSI Scuba Diver certification in Muscat is a shortened version of Open Water training for those with limited time, earned in Oman's calm coastal water. Using SSI's digital theory you complete the core knowledge and confined-water sessions plus two open-water dives near Bandar Khayran, qualifying you to dive to 12 metres under professional supervision. You can later upgrade to the full SSI Open Water Diver rating.

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 10
• Able to swim and be comfortable in water
• No prior certification required
• Complete the diver medical questionnaire

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Digital theory & confined water

   Complete the core SSI online modules and confined-water skills at a sheltered Muscat site.
2. Day2
   Open-water dives & certification

   Complete two open-water dives to 12 metres at Bandar Khayran, then certify as an SSI Scuba Diver.
