Skills are built in Havelock's flat shallow bays before two open-water dives to about 12 metres on nearby coral reefs. The clear, warm Andaman Sea makes for easy first dives among clownfish, parrotfish and small reef creatures. Beginner sites remain diveable throughout the year.
