The PADI Scuba Diver course on Havelock is a shorter route into certification, qualifying you to dive to 12 metres under a professional's supervision. Done in small groups in the clear Andaman Sea, it's ideal if you're short on island time but still want a real credential. You'll explore coral reefs alive with parrotfish and clownfish off Havelock's sheltered beaches.
PADI Scuba Diver is a recognised subset of Open Water and uses eLearning; you can upgrade to full Open Water anytime with a PADI digital card.
Training happens at Havelock's calm beginner reefs off Beach No. 3, with confined skills in shallow water and open-water dives to around 12 metres. The clear Andaman Sea showcases coral gardens busy with parrotfish, clownfish and butterflyfish. These sheltered sites are accessible year-round including the monsoon.
