Course overview

The SSI Scuba Diver certification qualifies you to dive to 12 metres with a dive professional, a great option when time is short in Fujairah. You complete the academics and confined-water work plus open-water dives on the calm reefs off Snoopy Island, and can upgrade to full SSI Open Water Diver whenever you are ready.

What you’ll learn

• Set up and use basic scuba equipment
• Perform essential skills like mask clearing and regulator recovery
• Descend, equalise and manage buoyancy with supervision
• Make supervised open-water dives to 12 metres
• Dive safely alongside a guide and identify reef life

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 10
• No prior certification required
• Reasonable health and comfort in water
• Completion of the SSI medical questionnaire

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Academics & confined water

   Work through the SSI digital theory and practise core skills in the calm shallows off Snoopy Island.
2. Day2
   Open-water dives

   Complete supervised open-water dives to 12 metres on Fujairah's reefs and earn the SSI Scuba Diver rating.
