Course overview

The PADI Scuba Diver certification is a half-step to Open Water, qualifying you to dive to 12 metres under the supervision of a PADI professional, and it is ideal if you are short on time in Fujairah. You complete the first knowledge and dive sections on the calm east-coast reefs around Snoopy Island and can later upgrade to full Open Water Diver.

What you’ll learn

• Assemble, check and use basic scuba equipment
• Master core skills such as mask clearing and regulator recovery
• Descend, equalise and control buoyancy with supervision
• Plan and make supervised dives to 12 metres
• Recognise common reef life and dive safely with a guide

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 10
• No prior certification required
• Reasonable health and comfort in water
• Completion of the standard scuba medical questionnaire

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Theory & confined water

   Complete the first knowledge sections and practise core skills in shallow, calm water off Snoopy Island.
2. Day2
   Open-water dives

   Make two supervised open-water dives to 12 metres on Fujairah's reefs and certify as a PADI Scuba Diver.
