Course overview

Learn to prevent and handle diving emergencies with the SSI Diver Stress and Rescue course in the Seychelles. Training in Mahe's sheltered bays and on its boulder reefs, you focus first on recognising and avoiding stress, then on rescuing yourself and others in real Indian Ocean conditions. The SSI Rescue Diver pathway

SSI Diver Stress and Rescue places strong emphasis on stress prevention and requires a current React Right first-aid certification. It is the rescue-level prerequisite for SSI professional ratings, and certification is recorded digitally in your SSI app.

Where you'll dive in Seychelles

The course uses the calm bays near Beau Vallon for skills and Mahe's granite-boulder reefs for scenarios, in warm 26-30C water with calm-to-moderate conditions. April-May and September-November give the most settled training days.
