Develop the skills to prevent and handle diving emergencies with the SSI Stress & Rescue course on Kadmat Island. Through realistic scenarios in the calm Lakshadweep lagoon and on the atoll's reef slopes, you learn to spot stress early, perform tows and rescues, and manage an incident, making you a far more confident and capable dive buddy.
SSI Stress & Rescue is the agency's equivalent of Rescue Diver and a prerequisite for the SSI Divemaster pathway. Current React Right or equivalent emergency training, including oxygen provision, is required before certifying.
Skills are first practised in the sheltered Kadmat lagoon, then applied in scenarios on the atoll's reef slopes where clear water aids realistic rescue practice. The October-to-May season offers the calmest conditions.
