Learn to prevent and manage diving emergencies with the PADI Rescue Diver course on Kadmat Island. Widely described as the most rewarding course in the PADI system, it has you practise self-rescue, tired-diver tows and surface and underwater rescue scenarios in the calm Lakshadweep lagoon and on the atoll's reef slopes, transforming you into a more aware and capable buddy.
PADI Rescue Diver builds directly on the Adventure Diver / Advanced Open Water pathway and is a prerequisite for the Divemaster rating. A current Emergency First Response certification is required before you can certify.
Early rescue skills are drilled in the calm Kadmat lagoon before scenarios move to the atoll's reef slopes, where good visibility makes locating and managing a 'diver in distress' straightforward. October to May is the most settled season.
