Course overview

SSI Open Water Diver is your passport to independent diving to 18m, earned in Bali's warm, beginner-friendly waters at Tulamben and Amed. You build skills in the calm shallows before logging four training dives on the coral-covered USAT Liberty and nearby reefs, frequently sharing the water with turtles and schooling fish. The SSI digital approach lets you study at your own pace before arriving.

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 10
• Swim 200m and float 10 minutes

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Theory & confined skills

   Study free digital materials and master skills in sheltered shallows.
2. Day2
   Training dives 1-2

   Apply skills on open-water dives over Tulamben's coral reef.
3. Day3
   Training dives 3-4

   Complete remaining skills and explore the USAT Liberty wreck.
