Course overview

The PADI Open Water Diver course in Bali certifies you to dive independently to 18m, and there is no finer classroom than Tulamben's USAT Liberty wreck and Coral Garden reef. Over three to four days you complete confined-water skills and four training dives on the warm, gentle black-sand coast, often meeting turtles and schooling fish on your very first dives. You leave a certified diver ready to explore the world's oceans.

The PADI Open Water Diver pathway

PADI Open Water uses eLearning or PADI Touch with a final exam, five confined sessions and four open-water dives, certifying you to 18m worldwide with the PADI Open Water card and Project AWARE conservation focus.

Where you'll dive in Bali

Confined sessions and the four training dives use Tulamben Bay's calm shallows, the coral-rich Coral Garden and the shallow end of the USAT Liberty (3-30m), where new divers commonly encounter turtles, clownfish and schools of reef fish.
