Course overview

Master finding your way underwater with the SSI Navigation specialty in Coron, a practical skill among the destination's sprawling wrecks and reefs. Across a day of dives on sites such as Siete Pecados in warm 27-29C water, you learn natural references, compass technique and navigation patterns through SSI's digital platform and in-water practice. You finish confident to orient yourself and guide your buddy team.

What you’ll learn

• Estimate distance with kick-cycles and timing
• Swim navigation patterns such as squares and triangles
• Relocate a marked underwater point

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 10
• SSI Open Water Diver (or equivalent certification)
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician
• Basic buoyancy comfort in open water
