The SSI Enriched Air Nitrox specialty teaches you to dive on oxygen-enriched air for longer no-decompression times, a clear benefit on Zanzibar's busy reef days. The digital academics mean you can certify quickly and put it to use straight away around Mnemba Atoll and Stone Town.

What you’ll learn

• Explain the advantages and limitations of enriched air
• Calculate and apply maximum operating depth
• Analyse cylinder oxygen content and complete logs
• Configure a dive computer for Nitrox mixes
• Manage oxygen exposure and toxicity risk
• Plan extended no-stop dives safely

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12 (junior) / 15 (adult)
• SSI Open Water Diver or equivalent
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

1. Day1
   Enriched air theory

   Work through the SSI digital academics and exam, practise analysing cylinders and setting your computer, then optionally log enriched-air dives around Mnemba or Stone Town.
