Course overview

Extend your bottom time across Rasdhoo Atoll's reefs and drifts with the SSI Enriched Air Nitrox specialty, one of the most practical certifications a multi-dive trip can add. You will learn to analyse and dive enriched-air blends so you can lengthen no-decompression limits and shorten surface intervals on the atoll's busy two-dive days, with theory completed entirely online before you arrive.

What you’ll learn

• Understand the principles and limits of enriched air nitrox
• Analyse cylinder oxygen content and label tanks correctly
• Calculate maximum operating depth for a blend
• Configure a dive computer for nitrox mixes
• Manage oxygen exposure and partial-pressure limits
• Plan extended no-decompression dives using nitrox

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12 (junior) or 15
• SSI Open Water Diver or equivalent certification
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Theory, analysis & optional dives

   Enriched-air theory, hands-on oxygen analysis and computer setup, then optional enriched-air dives at a local reef such as Holhi Faru, followed by digital certification.
