Course overview

The SSI Enriched Air Nitrox specialty in Muscat helps you extend bottom time on Oman's busy boat-dive days to the Daymaniyat Islands and Fahal Island. Using SSI's digital theory you learn to analyse nitrox cylinders, set your computer and dive enriched air confidently within safe limits. You finish certified as an SSI Enriched Air Nitrox diver.

What you’ll learn

• Understand how enriched air extends no-decompression time
• Analyse and label nitrox cylinders accurately
• Calculate maximum operating depth and oxygen limits
• Configure a dive computer for enriched-air diving
• Manage oxygen-toxicity risk on nitrox dives
• Plan repetitive nitrox dives on multi-dive boat days

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12
• SSI Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
• No additional dives required to certify
• Medical statement and physician sign-off where indicated

   Digital theory & analysis

   Complete SSI online modules, practise cylinder analysis and computer set-up, then certify; optional nitrox dives can follow on Daymaniyat boat trips.
