Course overview

Get more bottom time with the SSI Enriched Air Nitrox specialty at Kovalam, a mostly classroom course that lets you dive enriched-air blends on the warm Kovalam reef. You learn to analyse cylinders, set safe depth limits and plan longer no-decompression dives. You finish certified to dive nitrox blends up to 40 percent oxygen.

What you’ll learn

• Analyse a cylinder's oxygen percentage
• Calculate maximum operating depth for a blend
• Set up a dive computer for nitrox
• Plan repetitive dives within oxygen-exposure limits

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12 (junior) or 15
• SSI Open Water Diver or higher
• No prior nitrox experience required
• Diver medical questionnaire (physician sign-off if any condition applies)

1. Day1
   Theory, analysis and optional dive

   Complete the SSI enriched-air theory, practise analysing and labelling cylinders, optionally dive nitrox on the Kovalam reef, and certify.
