Course overview

Get longer bottom times on Hikkaduwa's reefs and wrecks with the SSI Enriched Air Nitrox specialty. Learning to dive with higher-oxygen blends extends your no-decompression limits on the multi-dive days that suit Sri Lanka's south-coast sites. It is a knowledge-based course you can complete in a day, with optional dives to put your skills into practice.

What you’ll learn

• Analyse cylinder oxygen content with an analyser
• Calculate maximum operating depth for each blend
• Configure a dive computer for nitrox
• Manage oxygen exposure and safe limits

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12
• SSI Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
• No prior nitrox experience required
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Nitrox knowledge & analysis

   Complete the digital nitrox theory and exam, practise analysing cylinders and calculating operating depths, with optional reef or wreck dives to apply the skills.
