Course overview

The SSI Enriched Air Nitrox specialty extends your bottom time and shortens surface intervals, perfect for Alor's multi-dive days on deep walls and macro slopes. You learn to analyse nitrox cylinders and configure your computer so you can safely maximise no-decompression time across the archipelago's best sites.

What you’ll learn

• Understand how enriched air extends no-decompression limits
• Analyse a cylinder's oxygen content with an analyser
• Determine maximum operating depth and oxygen exposure limits
• Set a dive computer for nitrox diving
• Plan safe multi-dive days using enriched air
• Correctly label and handle nitrox tanks

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12 (junior certification for younger divers)
• SSI Open Water Diver or equivalent
• No prior specialty experience required
• Comfortable with standard scuba procedures
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

1. Day1
   Theory, analysis & diving

   Work through the SSI digital nitrox module, practise analysing cylinders and configuring your computer, then dive enriched air on Alor's deeper walls for longer bottom times.
