Course overview

The PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) specialty lets you dive longer with shorter surface intervals, ideal for Alor where multiple dives a day on deep walls and macro slopes are the norm. You learn to analyse enriched-air cylinders and set your computer correctly so you can extend no-decompression time across the archipelago's richest sites.

What you’ll learn

• Understand how enriched air extends no-decompression limits
• Analyse the oxygen content of a nitrox cylinder
• Set maximum operating depth and avoid oxygen exposure limits
• Program a dive computer for enriched-air diving
• Plan multi-dive days using nitrox safely
• Label and manage enriched-air tanks correctly

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12
• PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver or equivalent
• No prior specialty experience required
• Comfortable with standard scuba procedures
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

1. Day1
   Theory, analysis & diving

   Complete the enriched-air theory, practise analysing cylinders and setting your computer, then apply nitrox on Alor's deeper walls to enjoy longer bottom times.
