Course overview

SSI React Right teaches CPR, first aid and emergency oxygen provision to divers and non-divers alike, completed as a dry classroom course in a single day in Trincomalee. It meets the first-aid prerequisite for SSI Diver Stress & Rescue and the SSI Divemaster pathway, making it a practical first step for anyone heading toward professional diving on the east coast.

What you’ll learn

• Perform CPR and primary care on a non-responsive patient
• Deliver first aid for common injuries and illnesses
• Provide emergency oxygen to an injured diver
• Carry out scene assessment and a primary survey
• Use barriers and AEDs to support a casualty
• Apply bandaging, splinting and shock-management techniques

1. Day1
   CPR, first aid & oxygen

   Complete the primary care, secondary care and emergency-oxygen modules with hands-on manikin practice in one classroom day at the dive centre.
