Course overview

The PADI Emergency First Response course teaches primary and secondary care (CPR and first aid) to anyone, diver or not, and is a dry, classroom-based programme you can complete in a day in Trincomalee. It satisfies the first-aid prerequisite for the PADI Rescue Diver and Divemaster courses, making it a natural step for anyone progressing toward professional diving on Sri Lanka's east coast.

The PADI Emergency First Response pathway

PADI Emergency First Response is built on internationally recognised CPR and first-aid guidelines and fulfils the first-aid requirement for PADI Rescue Diver and Divemaster. Completion is valid for the prerequisite for 24 months.

Emergency First Response is a dry, classroom-based course held at the dive centre near Nilaveli; no diving or water sessions are involved, so it can run on any day regardless of sea conditions.
