Course overview

Learn the skills to respond in an emergency with the SSI React Right course on Tioman, a dry, classroom-based programme completed in a day on the island. It covers CPR, first aid, AED awareness and emergency oxygen provision to recognised standards and provides the first-aid foundation required before the SSI Diver Stress & Rescue course and professional ratings.

What you’ll learn

• Perform CPR on a non-breathing patient
• Provide first aid for injuries and sudden illness
• Use a barrier device and manage conscious and unconscious patients
• Recognise and respond to choking, bleeding and shock
• Understand AED operation and emergency oxygen provision
• Gain confidence to act decisively in an emergency

• No prior experience or certification required
• No minimum age for participation (open to all ages)
• Open to divers and non-divers alike

1. Day1
   CPR, first aid and oxygen

   Classroom session at the dive centre on Tioman covering CPR, first aid, AED awareness and emergency oxygen, with hands-on manikin practice and final skills assessment.
