Course overview

Build emergency-response confidence with the SSI React Right course at Khao Lak, the CPR and first-aid programme that pairs with Similan Islands dive training. This non-diving certification covers primary assessment, CPR, AED use and first aid, and satisfies the first-aid prerequisite for the SSI Diver Stress & Rescue and Divemaster ratings.

What you’ll learn

• Perform CPR on a non-breathing patient
• Carry out primary scene and patient assessment
• Provide first aid for bleeding, shock and injuries
• Use an automated external defibrillator (AED)
• Apply bandaging and splinting techniques
• Recognise and manage common diving and general emergencies

Prerequisites

• No prior experience or certification required
• Open to divers and non-divers
• No swimming or water skills needed
• Suitable for all ages (certification standards apply)
