Course overview

SSI React Right teaches the CPR, first aid and emergency-oxygen skills that form the safety foundation for rescue training and everyday life. Held as a dry classroom and practical session on the Perhentian Islands, it is an easy add-on between dives and satisfies the first aid requirement on the route to SSI Diver Stress and Rescue and Divemaster.

What you’ll learn

• Perform CPR and primary assessment of a non-responsive patient
• Deliver first aid for common injuries and illnesses
• Administer emergency oxygen and recognise dive-related emergencies
• Use barriers and manage scene safety
• Apply a calm, structured response to an emergency

Prerequisites

• No prior experience or certification required
• No swimming or diving ability needed
• Suitable for all ages able to perform the skills
• Willingness to practise hands-on CPR and first aid
