Course overview

Learn to respond to medical emergencies with SSI React Right at Netrani Island on Karnataka's Murdeshwar coast. This non-diving first-aid and CPR course covers primary assessment, CPR, AED use and emergency oxygen, preparing you to help on land or aboard the dive boats heading to Netrani. It fulfils the first-aid prerequisite for the SSI Diver Stress & Rescue and Divemaster programs.

What you’ll learn

• Carry out a primary assessment and perform CPR
• Use an AED and provide rescue breathing
• Administer emergency oxygen to an injured diver
• Manage bleeding, shock and secondary-care situations
• Recognise and respond to dive-related illnesses and injuries
• Act decisively in a real emergency on shore or on the boat

Prerequisites

• No prior experience or certification required
• Open to non-divers and divers alike
• No minimum diving age — suitable for adults and teens
• Reasonable physical health to practise hands-on CPR

1. Day1
   Primary care & CPR

   Learn primary assessment, CPR, AED use and rescue breathing through guided practice.
2. Day2
   Oxygen & secondary care

   Cover emergency oxygen, secondary care and scenarios, then complete the evaluation and certify.
