Course overview

Gain internationally recognised first-aid and CPR skills with the SSI React Right course in Mauritius. This non-diving classroom programme, easily combined with diving in Flic-en-Flac, covers CPR, AED use and first aid to a standard that satisfies the prerequisite for SSI Diver Stress & Rescue and the professional pathway. It is ideal for divers and non-divers who want the confidence to handle emergencies.

What you’ll learn

• Perform CPR and rescue breathing on an adult casualty
• Use an automated external defibrillator (AED)
• Control bleeding and manage shock
• Assess and care for illness and injury
• Apply bandaging and splinting techniques
• Recognise and react to dive-related and general emergencies

Prerequisites

• No prior experience or certification required
• Open to non-divers and divers alike
• No minimum diving age (suitable for accompanying family members)
• No swimming or medical clearance required for the classroom course
