Course overview

SSI React Right is a complete first-aid, CPR and oxygen-provider course that prepares you to respond to emergencies on land or at the dive centre in Baa Atoll, Maldives. Open to divers and non-divers alike, it satisfies the first-aid requirement for the SSI Diver Stress & Rescue and Divemaster programmes.

What you’ll learn

• Perform CPR and use barrier devices effectively
• Manage primary and secondary care for casualties
• Recognise and respond to diving-related injuries
• Administer emergency oxygen to an injured diver
• Control bleeding and manage shock
• Use an AED and coordinate an emergency scene

Prerequisites

• No prior experience or certification required
• Open to non-divers and all ages
• No minimum age for participation
• No medical clearance needed for the course itself

1. Day1
   CPR, first aid & oxygen

   Complete the React Right digital theory and hands-on CPR, first-aid and oxygen-provider skills, finishing with a scenario assessment - no diving involved.
