Course overview

The SSI React Right course covers CPR, first aid and emergency oxygen so you can respond capably to an accident, on an Alor dive boat or on dry land. It is a non-diving programme and the first-aid foundation required for SSI Diver Stress & Rescue and professional ratings, making it a practical addition before diving Alor's stronger currents.

What you’ll learn

• Perform CPR and rescue breathing on an unresponsive patient
• Provide primary care for life-threatening conditions
• Deliver first aid for injuries and illnesses
• Administer emergency oxygen to an injured diver
• Use barriers and reduce disease-transmission risk
• Respond calmly to a diving or surface emergency

Prerequisites

• No prior experience or certification required
• Open to non-divers and divers alike
• No minimum age to participate
• Reasonable physical ability to perform CPR
• No swimming or medical clearance required

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   CPR, first aid & oxygen

   Work through the React Right modules, practise CPR and emergency oxygen on a manikin, and complete scenario drills to certify in one day.
