Experience your first breath underwater with the SSI Try Scuba experience in Rasdhoo Atoll, a relaxed introduction in warm, clear Maldivian water that often reaches 25 metres of visibility. Guided closely by an SSI professional, you will practise a few simple skills in shallow water and then explore a gentle reef, with no experience or certification required to take part.
SSI Try Scuba is an introductory experience rather than a certification, and is recorded on the SSI digital platform. If you continue, it can be credited toward the SSI Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver program.
Try Scuba dives use the sheltered shallow reefs near the island, such as Three Palm and Veligandu East, where calm water and 25-metre-plus visibility make for an easy, enjoyable first dive; reef fish and turtles are common even on this introductory dive, with the calmest conditions from November to April.
