Course overview

Take your first underwater breaths with the SSI Try Scuba experience in Papua New Guinea, exploring the warm, sheltered shallows of Kimbe Bay under close instructor supervision. After a short briefing and a few basic skills, you glide over coral reefs busy with anemonefish and turtles, no certification or prior experience required. It is a relaxed introduction to one of the world's premier diving regions.

What you’ll learn

• Breathe underwater on scuba for the first time
• Equalise your ears and clear water from your mask
• Achieve basic buoyancy and movement over reef

Prerequisites

• No experience or swimming certification required
• Minimum age 10
