Course overview

Take your first breaths underwater with the SSI Try Scuba experience in Malta and Gozo, a guided introduction in the calm, clear Mediterranean. With an instructor beside you, you descend at a sheltered Gozo or Cirkewwa shore site to around 12 metres and meet colourful reef fish in outstanding visibility. No prior experience or certification is needed.

What you’ll learn

• Breathe underwater on scuba with an instructor
• Use basic scuba equipment confidently
• Equalise and descend gradually
• Clear your mask and recover your regulator
• Maintain position and buoyancy under guidance

Prerequisites

• No experience or swimming certification required
• Minimum age 10
• Reasonable health and comfort in water (short medical questionnaire)
