Course overview

Try breathing underwater for the first time with the PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience in Malta and Gozo, the ideal introduction in calm, clear Mediterranean water. After a short briefing you descend with an instructor at a sheltered shore site to around 12 metres, taking in reef fish and maybe an octopus in superb visibility. No certification or experience is required.

What you’ll learn

• Breathe comfortably underwater on scuba for the first time
• Use the mask, fins, regulator and BCD
• Equalise and descend gently with an instructor
• Clear water from your mask and recover a regulator
• Move and stay neutrally buoyant under guidance

Prerequisites

• No experience or swimming certification required
• Minimum age 10
• Reasonable health and comfort in water (short medical questionnaire)
