Course overview

Breathe underwater for the first time with the SSI Try Scuba experience in Krabi, guided by an instructor on the calm Andaman reefs near Ao Nang. After a relaxed briefing you make shallow dives among tropical fish and coral, with the chance to head out to the Phi Phi reefs by speedboat. It is an easy, low-pressure introduction to the sport.

What you’ll learn

• Breathe underwater comfortably on scuba
• Use basic dive equipment under guidance
• Equalise and descend gently in shallow water
• Clear your mask and recover your regulator
• Move and stay balanced underwater with an instructor

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 10
• No experience or swimming certification required
• Able to be comfortable in the water
• Complete a short medical questionnaire (physician sign-off if needed)
