Course overview

Try scuba for the very first time with the PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience in Krabi, breathing underwater on the calm Andaman reefs near Ao Nang under direct instructor supervision. After a short briefing you complete shallow dives among tropical fish and coral, with options to dive the stunning Phi Phi reefs by speedboat. It is the perfect taster before committing to a full certification.

What you’ll learn

• Breathe comfortably underwater on scuba for the first time
• Use a mask, fins and regulator correctly
• Equalise and descend gently to shallow depths
• Clear water from your mask and recover your regulator
• Move and control yourself underwater with an instructor
• Spot common Andaman reef fish and coral

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 10
• No experience or swimming certification required
• Able to be comfortable in the water
• Complete a short medical questionnaire (physician sign-off if needed)

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Briefing & first dives

   Learn the basics on shore or by the boat, then complete two guided dives to 12 metres on a calm reef near Ao Nang or the Phi Phi sites.
