Course overview

SSI Try Scuba lets complete beginners experience breathing underwater under direct instructor supervision, and Fujairah's sheltered east-coast reefs make a calm, welcoming start. After a short briefing you head into the shallow water off sites like Snoopy Island to explore the coral and fish, with no certification or experience needed beforehand.

What you’ll learn

• Breathe naturally underwater on scuba
• Equalise and descend with instructor guidance
• Clear your mask and recover the regulator
• Maintain basic control and buoyancy near the reef
• Spot common reef life such as fish and rays

Prerequisites

• No experience or swimming certification required
• Minimum age 10
• Reasonable health and comfort in water
• Completion of a short medical questionnaire
