Course overview

Take your first breaths underwater in Coron with the SSI Try Scuba experience, a guided introduction needing no prior certification. Under close instructor supervision you dive to a maximum of 12 metres in warm 27-29C water, with the chance to glimpse a shallow WWII wreck such as the Lusong Gunboat. It is an ideal first taste of Coron's underwater world.

What you’ll learn

• Breathe underwater comfortably with scuba gear
• Clear your mask and recover your regulator
• Equalise and manage basic buoyancy
• Use simple underwater hand signals
• Move safely under direct instructor supervision

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 10
• No experience or swimming certification required
• Comfortable being in the water
• Complete a short medical questionnaire; some conditions require a doctor's approval
