Course overview

Try scuba for the first time in Coron with the PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience, a guided introduction with no certification required. Under direct instructor supervision you breathe underwater and dive to a maximum of 12 metres, with a chance to see one of Coron's shallow WWII wrecks such as the Lusong Gunboat in warm 27-29C water. It is the perfect taste of what makes Coron special.

What you’ll learn

• Breathe comfortably underwater using scuba equipment
• Clear your mask and recover your regulator
• Equalise your ears and manage your buoyancy basics
• Communicate with simple hand signals
• Move around safely under close instructor supervision
• Understand basic safety rules for scuba diving

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 10
• No experience or swimming certification required
• Able to be comfortable in the water
• Complete a brief medical questionnaire; some conditions need a doctor's sign-off

   Try scuba

   Meet your instructor for a safety briefing and skills practice, then make one or two guided dives to a maximum of 12 metres, possibly visiting a shallow Coron wreck such as the Lusong Gunboat.
