Course overview

SSI Deep Diving on the Perhentian Islands certifies you to dive to the recreational limit of 40 metres, giving access to the area's deeper highlights such as the Secret Wreck near 38 metres and the lower reaches of the Pinnacle (Tokong Laut). You build the planning, gas-management and narcosis-awareness skills that deeper diving demands.

• Recognise and manage nitrogen narcosis
• Control buoyancy and ascent rate at depth
• Prepare equipment and contingencies for deep dives

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 15
• SSI Advanced Adventurer or experienced Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification)
• Comfort with buoyancy and depth from prior experience
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Theory and building depth

   Digital deep-dive theory plus dives extending your depth on a deeper local site.
2. Day2
   Depth and certification

   Further dives toward 40 metres with narcosis and gas-management tasks, then certification.
