The PADI Deep Diver specialty on the Perhentian Islands extends your range to 40 metres and opens up the deeper dives the area is known for, including the Secret Wreck near 38 metres and the dramatic Pinnacle (Tokong Laut). Over four dives you learn deep-dive planning, gas management and how to recognise and manage narcosis.
PADI Deep Diver certifies you to plan and conduct dives to the recreational limit of 40 metres and counts toward the Master Scuba Diver rating. Enriched air (nitrox) training is a useful complement for extending bottom time at depth.
The Perhentians have several deeper sites suited to this course, such as the Secret Wreck around 38 metres and the deeper reaches of the Pinnacle, dived in calm water around 27-30°C during the March-to-October season.
