Course overview

Reach recreational diving's 40-metre limit with the SSI Deep Diving specialty on Grand Cayman, an island defined by sheer underwater walls that drop from shallow reef into the deep blue. Training on the West and North Walls, you learn deep-dive planning, gas management and narcosis awareness in exceptionally clear, calm Caribbean water. You complete the specialty certified to dive to 40 metres.

• Plan and manage deep dives within no-decompression limits
• Recognise and handle nitrogen narcosis
• Track gas consumption and plan safe ascents
• Use appropriate deep-diving equipment and gas
• Adapt to reduced light and colour at depth
• Execute safety stops and emergency procedures

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 15
• SSI Advanced Adventurer or equivalent certification
• Recommended logged-dive experience for deep diving
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Theory and first deep dives

   Complete the digital academics and build depth on the West Wall over the first dives.
2. Day2
   Deep wall dives and certification

   Make the deeper North Wall dives toward 40 metres, practise narcosis awareness and certify.
