Course overview

The SSI Deep Diving specialty trains you to plan and enjoy dives to 40 metres, and Fujairah's deeper sites toward Dibba and Musandam are an ideal training ground. Over two or more dives you build depth experience, learn gas and narcosis management and explore gorgonian walls and deeper reefs beyond the recreational shallows.

What you’ll learn

• Plan and conduct dives to a maximum of 40 metres
• Manage gas supply and no-decompression limits
• Recognise and respond to nitrogen narcosis
• Use redundant air and disciplined safety stops
• Adapt to reduced light and colour at depth

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 15
• SSI Advanced Adventurer or equivalent certification
• Experience and comfort with 18-30 metre dives
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

1. Day1
   Academics & deep dives

   Complete the SSI digital deep theory, then make progressively deeper dives to 40 metres toward the Dibba and Musandam sites, practising gas and narcosis management, and certify.
