Course overview

Reach Coron's deepest WWII wrecks with the SSI Deep Diving specialty, which trains you to dive safely to 40 metres. Across four dives on sites such as the Akitsushima in warm 27-29C water, you build deep-dive planning, gas-management and narcosis-awareness skills through SSI's digital learning and in-water practice. You finish qualified to dive to 40m and explore the lower decks of Coron's cargo fleet.

• Recognise and manage nitrogen narcosis
• Apply contingency planning and safety stops on deep dives

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 15
• SSI Advanced Adventurer or equivalent certification
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician
• Solid buoyancy control and open-water experience

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Planning & first depths

   Complete the SSI digital theory and deep-dive planning, then two progressively deeper dives with gas-management focus.
2. Day2
   To 40 metres

   Two further dives to the 40m limit on deep wrecks such as the Akitsushima, with contingency and safety-stop practice, then certification.
