Course overview

Push your limits with the SSI Deep Diving Specialty on Bangaram Island, learning to plan and execute dives to 40 metres on the deeper reef walls and slopes of remote Lakshadweep. In the clear, calm water of India's tropical-atoll resort you build the skills to manage depth, gas and narcosis confidently. The course earns you the SSI Deep Diving certification.

What you’ll learn

• Plan deep dives with proper gas and time management
• Recognise and manage nitrogen narcosis
• Use redundant air sources and deep-diving equipment
• Stay within no-decompression limits and execute safety stops
• Maintain buddy contact and monitoring at depth
• Understand the physiological effects of pressure

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 15
• SSI Advanced Adventurer or equivalent
• Comfortable with buoyancy and gas monitoring
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

1. Day1
   Theory and first deep dives

   Complete the digital academics and first dives building depth and gas-management skills.
2. Day2
   Depth to 40m

   Complete the deepest dives on Bangaram's reef slopes, practise depth management, then certify.
