Course overview

Extend your range with the PADI Deep Diver Specialty on Bangaram Island, learning to plan and conduct dives safely to 40 metres on the deeper reef slopes and drop-offs of remote Lakshadweep. You gain experience managing gas, narcosis and ascent on the rich walls where pelagic life such as eagle rays and tuna patrols the blue. The course earns you the PADI Deep Diver certification.

What you’ll learn

• Plan deep dives including gas management and turn pressures
• Recognise and respond to nitrogen narcosis
• Use a redundant air source and deep-dive equipment
• Manage no-decompression limits and safety stops at depth
• Monitor time, gas and buddy contact on deeper dives
• Account for colour loss and pressure effects at depth

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 15
• PADI Adventure Diver or higher
• Comfortable with buoyancy and gas monitoring
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Planning and first deep dives

   Cover deep-diving theory and complete the first dives progressively building depth and gas-management skills.
2. Day2
   Depth to 40m

   Complete the deepest dives on Bangaram's reef slopes, practise narcosis checks and ascent management, then certify.
