Course overview

SSI Basic Diver on the Perhentian Islands is a short certification that lets you dive to 12 metres under the supervision of a professional, a great option if you want a recognised credential without committing to the full Open Water course straight away. You complete confined-water skills and supervised dives in the warm, calm bays off Long Beach.

What you’ll learn

• Assemble and use basic scuba equipment
• Perform core skills such as mask clearing and regulator recovery

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1

   Digital theory and confined-water skills practice in calm, shallow water off Long Beach.
2. Day2
   Supervised dives and certification

   Supervised open-water dives to 12 metres on a local reef, then SSI Basic Diver certification.
