Course overview

SSI Advanced Adventurer builds on your Open Water certification with five adventure dives that introduce new skills and take you toward 30 metres, perfect across Trincomalee's reefs and wrecks. You sample specialties like Deep, Navigation, Wreck and Night around Pigeon Island Marine Park and the deeper sites near Swami Rock, earning the SSI Advanced Adventurer rating.

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12 (junior) / 15 for full certification
• SSI Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another agency)
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician
• Reasonable comfort and fitness in the water

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Deep & navigation dives

   Complete the Deep and Navigation adventure dives, gaining depth and orientation skills near Swami Rock and on the reefs.
2. Day2
   Elective dives & certification

   Sample three more adventure dives such as Wreck or Night around Pigeon Island, then certify as an SSI Advanced Adventurer.
